Survivors include daughters Roxanna (Daniel) Crouch and Penny Hester; sister Nadine Kites as well as a brother and sister in Alabama; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son James R. Edwards II and grandson Jason Britt.
He served in the US Navy.
Service 2pm Wednesday, April 8 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Lee officiating. Visitation noon until time of service.
