Miss Bertler was born June 4, 1909, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late George and Johanna Engeldinger Bertler. She workded for the State of Wisconsin as a secretary in the Medical Records Department and lived in Manitowoc until 1965 when she moved to Green Bay. She was a member of the Y.W.C.A. of Green Bay and DePere, the Retired Senior Volunteer Personnel Organization, American Association of Retired Persons, Christian Friendship Club, Antique Study Club and Catholic Women's Club of Green Bay; the Historical Society of Manitowoc and Green Bay and a charter member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She returned to Manitowoc several months ago to reside with a sister, Mrs. Marion Canon.
Survivors include five brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Esther Bertler of Manitowoc, Ralph and Helen Bertler of Mishicot, Raymond and Billie Bertler of Engelwood, Fla., Eugene and Lila Bertler of Manitowoc, Donald and Betty Bertler of Millerberg, Ohio and Mrs. George (Catherine) Bertler of Green Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Imelda Gruber of Green Bay and Mrs. Marie Canon of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews. Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
