Sarah Dorsey daughter of Lindsey Edward Dorsey and Francina Musgrove Dorsey married Sept 7,1864 Johnson County Indiana to Harvey C. Smock a son of Simon Smock and Catherine DeMott Smock the couple had 3 children Parmelia, Calvin, and Caroline before she devorced Oct 16, 1871 Marion county, Indiana she then moved to Hennipen county, Minnesota to live with her sister where she married John C. Ellis October 28, 1878 the family remained in Minnesota till after 1885 when they moved to Oliver co North Dakota.
