He was the leader of the Livermore Wranglers 4-H Club, competed successfully in bench-rest shooting matches, enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, square-dancing and family gatherings.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn, and his son, Clark Quinn Funk.
He is survived by three daughters, Karel Campbell, Rhonda George and Mary Jo Phipps along with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
