She married Herman Quinn Funk in 1952. They had four children. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She worked as a teacher's aide at Cache La Poudre Elementary for eight years. Then she fulfilled a lifetime dream by becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse and then a Registered Nurse, earning a BS in Health Sciences from University of St. Francis and one in Nursing
from Metro State as well. She practiced nursing at Poudre Valley Hospital for 25 years. After her retirement she volunteered with the Larimer County Office on Aging and was active at Trinity Lutheran Church.
