"David Callahan second son of Clifton and Christina was born November 15, 1853. He married Ellen Taylor. Two of their children, Freda and Simon, grew to adulthood but one child Rhoda, passed away when small. David died accidentally by drowning in the North Fork of the Molalla River August 15, 1897. He and Rhoda are buried in the Callahan family cemetery."
