Corrine M. Beitzel, age 65, of 1312 Hamann Road, Manitowoc, died Friday, December 13, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 1996, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 9 a.m. at Holy Innnocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Foley with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
She was born February 5, 1931, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Pritzl Barta. Corrine married H. Richard Beitzel on April 21, 1951, in Manitowoc. Mr. Beitzel preceded her in death on December 29, 1994. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. She then continued her education at the Wisconsin Cosmetology School of Green Bay and graduated as a beautician. For many years she was employed at Yvonne Beauty Salon in Manitowoc. After leaving Yvonne’s, Corrine joined her mother in the family catering business which she worked in until 1984. In addition to her many responsibilities, Corrine and her husband Richard managed the Knights of Columbus clubhouse for over 25 years. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Holy Innocents Christian Women, and the Drews-Bleser American Legion Auxiliary. Corrine was an avid bridge player and belonged to several bridge clubs.
Survivors include three children, Mary (Kay) Beitzel, Kiel, Michael (Paul) Beitzel, and a close family friend, Gary Kussard, both of Sheboygan, Ann Beitzel, Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Erik Beitzel; her brother, Claude (Joan) Barta, Manitowoc; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Sandi) Beitzel and Pauline Beitzel, all of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends also survive. Corrine was preceded in death by her husband and an infant son Jeffrey.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. on Monday. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, led by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.
The Beitzel family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the employees and staff of the Critical Care Unit and Pastoral Team at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
