BERNIE H. BENTLEY

Bernie H. Bentley, age 89, of 1715 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died on Monday morning, Jan. 25, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

He was born on March 2, 1920, in Manitowoc, son of the late Walter and Lillian (Grall) Bentley. Bernie was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1938. On June 26, 1943, he married the former Louise McCormick at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Bernie was employed at Manitowoc Public Utilities as a foreman, retiring in 1982. He loved fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife: Louise Bentley; a son and daughter-in-law: Jack and Margaret Bentley; a daughter and son-in-law: Bonnie and Bill Marshburn, all of Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Kristine Bentley, Kelly (Brian) Toltzmann, Mike (Angela) Marshburn, Nicole (Brian) Staudinger; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and a brother-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard
Klingeisen with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 1:30 to 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010.
