STREATOR — Michele E. Hallowell, 49, of Streator, passed away Sunday, April 5, at her home.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Central Church of Christ. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Michele was born July 3, 1965, in Streator, to Charles and Sidonna (Hallam) Baker.
Surviving are daughters, Lataya Martin, of Streator, and Maddison Howell, of Cornell; three grandchildren, Darrio Hunter Jr., Daleecie Martin and Stella McCline; father, Charles Hallowell, of Toano, Va.; mother, Sidonna Baker, of Streator; sisters, Debbie (Duane) Sorenson, of Ottawa, and Cara (Lonnie) Brady, of Toano, Va.;, brother, Chuck Hallowell, of Streator; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clifford and Vivian Hallowell; maternal grandparents, Frank and Lavada Ragusa; and maternal grandfather, Hershel Hallam.
Michele attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1983. She worked as a waitress and was a member of Central Church of Christ.
