Dorothy E. Kunkel, 45, died Friday evening at a St. Joseph hospital.

A native of Forest City, Mo., Mrs. Kunkel had resided in the Forest City and Mound City areas her entire life. She attended schools in Oregon and Mound City. For many years she had supervised a Mound City Cub Scout Pack.

Her husband, John Kunkel, whom she married in 1964, survives. Additional survivors include three sons, Mark Kunkel, Brian Kunkel and Anthony Kunkel, all of the home; one sister, Sharon Hoffman, St. Joseph; two brothers, Ronald Gillenwater, St. Joseph, and Randy Gillenwater, Maitland, MO.; her parents, Raymond and Marguerite Gillenwater, Bigelow, Mo., and nieces and nephews.

Services are planned for 2 p.m. Monday at the New Testament Christian Church in Mound City.

Burial will be in the Benton Cemetery, located south of Mound City. Friends may call anytime at Pettijohn & Crawford Funeral Home, Mound City.
The body will be removed to the church one hour prior to service time.
