William P. Morgan, Sr.
Our family has lost our leader, our friend, and our hero. On May 30, 2006, Bill, Sr. left this world the same way he arrived, fighting for life until he could fight no more.

Bill was born at home on June 21, 1927, to parents Irvin and Vivian (Hagan) Morgan. He was married for 52 years to his wife Dee.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Irvine, and two brothers, Buck & Francis.

Surviving to carry on his life's work are his wife Dee, of the home, a son, Bill, Jr. and his wife Tammie, their two daughters, Morgan and Lauren, his daughter, Susan and her three sons, Matt, Trent and Nicholas Pope. Also left to mourn his passing are his beloved pets Sissy, who was always with him, and Miss Kitty.

Bill attended St. Joseph's Parochial School and Central High School, where he lettered in baseball, basketball and football. He also had a short career as a professional baseball pitcher for the then Brooklyn Dodger Organization. As his family grew and his son came along, he coached Little League Baseball in the Oklahoma City and Bethany areas for many years. Many young men knew him simply as 'Coach."

All who knew Bill knew that he had only two great loves in his life: No. 1 was his love for his wife and family and No. 2 was his work. He worked his last day on Friday, May 26, 2006. He was founder and president of Morgan Aircraft Title Services, Inc. After serving a short time in the Marine Reserve, he joined the U. S. Army where he spent several years in Special Services, playing and coaching baseball, basketball and football. Bill received his B. A. from Central State College (now UCO) and a Juris Doctorate from OCU. During these years, he worked full time at the post office and the FAA Registry. In 1973 he started 'MATS", officing on W. Reno in one room of a warehouse, with only a phone and a desk. His daughter Susan was his only employee at that time. As the business grew, they eventually moved to their present offices in Bethany.

Services for Bill will be Saturday (at Bill's request) at 11:00 a.m., June 3, Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, with burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 Northwest Expressway. Anyone wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to the City Rescue Mission, Oklahoma City Medical Research Foundation, or any charity of their choosing.
