ROSEANNA CLEM
---After living on the same farm for fifty-six years, Roseanna Clem, wife of Henry C. Clem, died Saturday evening at the home west of La Plata after suffering a heart attack.
---Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Illinois Bend Church and burial was made in the Shumaker cemetery.
---Roseanna Shoemaker was born May 26, 1854, seven miles west of La Plata, daughter of Charles and Mary Shoemaker, and died September 15, 1934, at the age of seventy-five years, three months and twenty-four days.
---She was married to Henry C. Clem November 14, 1875 and to the union were born seven children, two of whom have preceded her in death, on infant daughter Dona Mae and Maude, who died fourteen years ago.
---She has always lived a faithful christian life, having confessed her Christ at the age of seventeen.
---She was a kind an loving wife and mother and leaves to mourn her death, a loving husband and three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Atteberry of Atlanta, Missouri, Mrs. Stella Curtis of La Plata, Missouri and Mrs. Lige Searcy of Taft, California and two sons, Roy Clem of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Dillard Clem of La Plata; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Susan Rutherford of Chillicothe and Mrs. Tena Mehuron of California and a host of other relatives and friends.
