She was an active member of Central United Methodist Church in Hot Springs, AR, where she resided for many years, having owned a hotel on Central Avenue. She also worked for K-Mart and volunteered with Abilities Unlimited.
Bessie had the most generous of hearts, was loving to all, and especially to the grandchildren (grand, great, and great-great). One of her favorite scriptures was Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me". She set an example for the entire family and was cherished and loved by us all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Prentiss R. Adams; her two brothers and two sisters.
Bessie is survived by her children, son Arlie Adams (Dottie) and daughter Jill Adams Bailey, 6 granddaughters; 10 great- grandchildren: six great-great- grandchildren, a niece and two nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK.
