Sammy Lee Wilkerson Jr., 65, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Sweet Springs. Elder L.L. Kerr will officiate. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Salt Pond Methodist Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Born March 22, 1939, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of the late Sammy Lee Wilkerson Sr. and Dorothy Etta Williams Wilkerson. He married Alicia Marie Johnson, who preceded him in death. He attended Sweet Springs Elementary School. He was a custodian at the Marshall Habilitation Center for many years. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Alicia Wilkerson of Chicago, Illinois; and Tarika Wilkerson of Norborne; three sons, Troy Wilkerson, Alonzo Wilkerson and Sammy Wilkerson, all of Chicago; two brothers, William Osker Wilkerson and Claude Wilkerson of Marshall; two sisters, Anna Pearl Richardson of San Leanardo, California; and Doris Ann Wilkerson of Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
