Mrs. Tidmore was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flowers, working in her yard, being outside and enjoying nature. She served as Worthy Matron of The Order of the Eastern Star. She was very vocal about local and state politics and instrumental in establishing the Bailey School Historical Marker located in the Wynnville community. She also was very proud to be crowned Mrs. Valentine Queen 2013 at TLC Nursing Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Proncey David and Alice Lama Terrell Garry Bailey; husband, Rufus Johnny Tidmore; son, Julius Bailey Tidmore; son-in-law, Donald K. Vickery; sisters, Ella Lee Bailey Robertson and Orlene Bailey Clayton; brothers, William Clarence Garry, John Coy Bailey, Oliver Thomas "O.T." Bailey, Richard Proncey "R.P." Bailey, James Rexal Bailey, Wilbur Dexter "Bud" Bailey, Alvin Harold Bailey, and Herby Quitman Bailey; grandson, William Carey Tidmore; and great granddaughter, Madison Rose Tidmore.
She is survived by son, David Tidmore (Jean) of Straight Mountain; daughters, Patricia Tidmore Vickery of Oneonta and Alethea Tidmore McCreless (Jeff) of Trussville; grandchildren, Johnny Tidmore (Marsha), Todd Vickery, Amanda Tidmore (Lisa Zimmerman), Jody Tidmore, Gina Butts (Jimbo), Elizabeth Tidmore Day (Andrew), Jessica McCreless Hynes (Stephen) and Hannah McCreless; great grandchildren, Lori Vickery, Tyler Butts, Arlen Hynes and Kade Butts; daughter-in-law, Andree' Walker of Arab.
Bro. Michael Cornelius will officiate funeral services on Monday, April 13, 2015, at 1PM from Lebanon United Methodist Church with burial following in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Tidmore, Jimbo Butts, Andrew Day, Stephen Hynes, Ron Bailey and Jerry Bailey. Jody Tidmore will serve as honorary pallbearer.
