Ervin E. Dubey, 53, formerly of Manitowoc, died Monday evening at Maple Crest Sanatorium, Whitelaw, where he had been a patient three months. He had been hospitalized at Veterans Hospital, Wood, since 1961.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. D. L. Krembs will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Dubey was born Nov. 14, 1911, at Hermansville, Mich., son of the late Louis and Eldia Paqwain Dubey. He came to Manitowoc as a young man and before retiring because of illness he had been employed by Burger Boat Co. Inc. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a private with
the Cavalry Replacement Training Center.
Surviving him are three sons, Staff Sgt. Richard with the U.S. Air Force in California, Tech. Sgt. Bradford with the U.S. Air Force in Indiana and Pvt. Dean with the U.S. army in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Konop of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Wayne Kadow of Manitowoc; a brother, Stuart Dubey of Manitowoc; six sisters, Mrs. Clara Champagne of Santa Rosa, Calif., Mrs. John Kulba of Iron Mountain, Mich., and Mrs. William Mellberg, Mrs. Joseph Buchner, Mrs. George Radant and Mrs. Dan Ellerman of Manitowoc and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Military rites at graveside will be by Drews-Bleser Post No. 88, American Legion.
