she played the piano, organ and harmonica
she and my grandfather did a lot of fishing and camping in their day
They took a lot of road trips west, & before they owned a car, it was a bus trip.
before a/c they would buy a large block of ice and put it in a tub of some sort, and put it in the back seat, open all the car windows a couple inches, and let the breeze flow over the ice to cool them when driving across the desert.
She was a very good cook, & cooked professionally for California Ranch Hands in 1942-1945 in Tulare Co CA
baked awesome pies & cakes!
she was a hard worker, she worked 2 jobs for years after my grandfather died.

she lived in a little 2 bdr brick ranch house 8627 Greenwood
she left no debt when she passed, and $100,000.00 in the bank

in the 1930's and 1940's she and my grandfather ran a
Pool Hall on the square in Clinton MO, on Jefferson Street.
My Father was born in the Apartment upstairs that they lived in.
my grandfather was the manager/barkeep and she was the cook.
In the 1950's she worked for Luzier Cosmetics in the Typing Pool
she was a very humble and honest woman.
She passed away at John Knox Village
after a long stay from Dementia and Contributory issues.
