GEORGE F. EGGERT (d. 1937)

George Frederick Eggert, 41, World war veteran, died last night at the home, 1103 South Seventh street after only an eight day illness. Death was due to pleuro-pneumonia.
Harvey Eggert, a brother, died April 23 from the same malady.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 o'clock from the St. Boniface church with full military rites accorded. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Eggert was born in this city in 1895. When the United States entered the World war he enrolled in the service and was a member of Company A, 340 Infantry. The unit was assigned to Camp Custer, Mich.

Married Miss Gagnon
Returning to civiian life he was employed as a shipfitter at the yards of the Manitowoc Shipbuilding company. In 1919 he married Miss Bernadette Gagnon.

Survivors are the widow; a son, George F.J., city; a daughter, Lois, city; mother Mrs. Frieda Eggert, city; brother, Arthur, Denver, colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Christ Nelson, city, Mrs. August Hobus, Milwaukee.

Mr. Eggert was a member of the Drews post of the American Legion, Holy Name society, Catholic Order of Foresters, and Local No. 443 of the Boilermakers and Shipfitters union. He was secretary of the last named organization.
The body may be viewed at the Pfeffer funeral home. The Foresters will meet at 8 o'clock tonight at the funeral home to recite the rosary.
