Mr. Franzen was born September 9, 1904 at Phlox, Wisconsin, son of the late Ferdinand and Phennie Bissenette Franzen. He was formerly employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding and for many years had a milk truck route for Lake to Lake Dairy. He married Gertrude Rohrer, June 12, 1927. She preceded him in death May 21, 1942. On November 15, 1947 he married Mildred Siudzinski. She preceded him in death November 29, 1982. Mr. Franzen was a former member of Francis Creek Lions Club and was President of the club from 1968 to 1969.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, LaVerne and Donald Braun of Reading, Pa., and Jane and Joseph Yindra of Cato; a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Gunhild Franzen of Florence, Wisconsin; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Huybers of rural Reedsville; a brother-in-law, Bernard Muench of Kellnersville; five grandchildren and eight grand grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, two sisters and a grandson.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 pm to 9 pm Wednesday and Thursday until the time of services. A prayer service will be 7 pm Wednesday by Father Schneider.
