Mary was not a McCrum, per this obit: "DEATHS. Miss Mary Blanche McCrum (sic)* died at the home of her sister Mrs Barton McCrum on Main Street on Monday morning Feb. 22nd. She was born Oct. 22nd, 1853, and was thus in her 72 year. She was born in Lexington and spent virtually her entire life here. Her father was Capt. Robert I. White, she had two sisters, Miss Ella White, deceased and Mrs. Barton McCrum with whom she made her home. Miss White was a life long member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church and lived a very exemplar devoted Christian life, always living for her family, her friends and her church."
