John F. May 88, of 5760 E. Tipp-Elizabeth Rd., died Sunday morning in the Elkins Nursing Home where he had been a patient two and a half years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Corda Lu May, a son Everett, and two sisters.
Surviving are five sons, A. Dennis and Buel G. both of Troy, Reeves of Springfield Ohio, Calvin H. of Vandalia Ohio Cecil E. of Bridgeport, Texas, a daughter, Mrs. Rusdell[Opal]Speakman of Troy Ohio, a brother Powell of Troy Ohio a half-sister, Mrs. Estill[Marie]Blair of Carey Ohio, 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
A member of the Grace Baptist Church, he was a farmer and employed by the Troy Sunshade before retiring in 1952.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cron Funeral Home. The Rev. John Yardlay will officiate. Burial will be in the Lucasville Cemetery Ohio.
Friends may call at the funeral home fro 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Tuesday.
