Elizabeth C. Gamble, age 92, of 925 S. 36th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, March 12, 2010, at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on July 29, 1917, in Algoma, daughter of the late John A. and Elizabeth (Richmond) Barbeau. On April 22, 1944, she married Warren F. Gamble at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1954. Elizabeth was employed as a clerk with S.S. Kresge Co., Manitowoc, for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

She also was preceded in death by a son: Charles J. Gamble; two grandsons: Scott and James Gamble; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Ann and Lester Novy, Lila and John Spjut; a brother and sister-in-law: Mark and Mae Barbeau; and a brother-in-law: Max Mrotek.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Rich Bahnaman. Friends also may call Wednesday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9 until 10:15 a.m.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center and the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care and love extended to Elizabeth and her family.
