Baker, John A.

John A. Baker, age 56, of 1623 23rd Street, Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, April 9, 2015 at his residence. John was born June 16, 1958 in Two Rivers to Maymort and Donna (Dugan) Baker. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1976 and then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1978 until 1981. John worked at Stangels Super Value for several years and then was employed by Holiday Inn. He also was dock manager at Younkers for many years.

John is survived by one sister and brother-in-law: June & Rick Klein, Two Rivers; two brothers: David Baker, Manitowoc and Robert Baker, South Milwaukee; two nephews: Keith (Laura) Klein and Tim (Ann) Klein; one great nephew: Alex; three great nieces: Isabella, Katelyn and Olivia. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

John was preceded in death by his mother and father: Maymort & Donna Baker and one sister: Cathy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Two Rivers VFW & American Legion.

Family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, April 12th, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m.

Visitation will continue Monday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

John was a super caregiver to his mother and many others when he saw the need. He was a master flower gardener, kept a beautiful yard and was a meticulous organizer.

John's smile, sense of humor and friendly manor will be missed by all who knew him.
