Delores M. Kristiansen "Dee", 78, passed away at her home on Friday, April 10, 2015 after a short battle with cancer.
Dee was born on December 5, 1936 in Green Bay, WI to George and Emma DeGrand and was the youngest of eight children.
Dee married Donald "Kris" Kristiansen on June 24, 1956. They lived in several different states and the country of Germany during their marriage. Dee and Kris enjoyed playing cards, cheering on their Green Bay Packers and spending time with friends, their children and most especially their grandchildren. Dee worked in the early years of the marriage to help support as Kris finished his degrees, then was able to stay at home to raise their children. She was an excellent cook and loved cooking and entertaining for her many friends and family. She had a real talent for decorating and took great pride in decorating her home. She was an active parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, served as Secretary of the Parish Friendship Club and was a participant in many of the church's committees and activities.
Dee was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents and six of her siblings.
She is survived by her three children, Michael Lee Kristiansen of Page, AZ, Ann Marie Brewer (Thomas) of Quincy, MI and David Ross Kristiansen (Michelle) of New Albany, IN. The light of Dee's life was her seven grand-children, Brandon, Amber, Michael, Cory, Michelle, Kennady and Elyse, as well as her four great-grandchildren. Dee is also survived by one brother, Arnold (Esther) DeGrand of Green Bay, WI.
Her funeral service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
