Ernie Pierson, 73, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in his home.
He was retired from Southern Steel and Wire, a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Alma.
He was born July 5, 1941 in Anadarko, OK to the late Ernest and Edith (Wall) Pierson and also preceded in death by a daughter, Teri Lynn Pierson; one grandson, Marshall Winn; 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church with interment at 12 noon in the U. S. National Cemetery with military honors. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, April 14th at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Pierson of the home; two daughters, Ruth Winn of San Diego, CA and Karen Cyr and husband Mike of Spokane, WA; one son, Ken Pierson and wife Janet of Charleston, AR; three sisters, Imogene Sain of Cyril, OK, Beverly Riley and Louise Simmons both of Cement, OK; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Douglas, Sam Lee, Leonard Stickler, Trae Pierson, Emmett Higginbotham and John Ferguson.
