Mrs. Robert A. Nichols Jr., 810 Walnut St., a native of Philadelphia, after a brief hospitalization, died on Saturday, at 9:45 a.m. in the Lebanon Valley General Hospital. She was the daughter of Edward C. Gillin Sr., Philadelphia contractor, and Frances A. Gillin, and the wife of the late Robert A. Nichols Jr., public accountant and auditor. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the National Council of Catholic Women. She was a member of the Lebanon Woman's Club and one of the past vice presidents of the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are three daughters, Valerie M., Joan L., and Frances V., and two sons, Robert A. Nichols 3rd, Lebanon, and the Rev. Joseph E. Nichols, assistant pastor of St. Michael's Church, Pawcatuck, Conn.; a sister, Mrs. Alois J. McDonald, Washington, D.C., and a brother, John E. Gillin, Newton Square, Pennsylvania.
