Adam "Ziggy" Androwski, NPD Ret. 1946 - 2015 NORWICH - Adam "Ziggy" Androwski, NPD Ret., 68, of Grant Court, died Tuesday morning in Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. Ziggy was born in Leverkusen, West Germany, on May 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Jacob and Sophie (Chmielowiec) Zrebiec. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the 3rd Marine Division. Mr. Androwski, was employed for over 25 years by the City of Norwich as a police officer and was an avid woodworker. Surviving are two sons James Androwski and his wife Debbie of Oxford, MA and William Androwski of Dayville; three grandchildren Amanda Androwski, Katelyn Androwski, and Christen Marie Maesto; and his former wife Helen Androwski of Dayville. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, April 13, 2015, at the Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home, 82 Cliff St., Norwich.
