Ill for four weeks, Edward Hablewitz,Sr., 66, died this noon at the Holy family hospital. His residence is at 901 S. 20th street.
Mr. Hablewitz was born Oct 19, 1879, at Silver Lake. He was married in 1906 to Anna Wellner, who survives with two children,John, city, and Sgt. Edward, Bakersfield, Calif. Four brothers, Joseph and Anton of Stratford and Martin and Reinhart, also survive. A son, Cpl. Sylvester, "Sally", was killed in action on Dec. 30, 1942, in New Guinea.
Mr. Hablewitz has been in the employ of the Richter company; He is affiliated with the Catholic Order of Foresters and the local Eagles Aerie.
Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.

Last rites for Edward Hablewitz, Sr, an employee of the Richter company, who died Tuesday noon at the Holy Family hospital will be held Friday morning. At 8:30 prayers will be offered at the Pfeffer funeral home where the body will lie in state after 7 o'clock this evening, and at 9 o'clock a requiem mass will be sung by the Rev. Alfred Pritzl in St. Boniface church. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
The Catholic Order of Foresters will meet at the funeral parlor at 7 o'clock Thursday evening to recite the rosary with Father Pritzil.
Mr. Hablewitz lived at 931 S S. 20th street.
