Funeral services for Frank P. Harter, 83, of 3910 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, who died Friday, were at 9 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Fuenral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.

The Rev. Leo Schmitt officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Harter was born Nov. 18, 1885, in Town of Selby, LaCrosse County, son of the late John and Anna Parshe Harter.

He married Mary Ellermann Jan. 18, 1910, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc, and always resided at Manitowoc. He worked for a railway company during World War I, was a carpenter and worked for the street department of the City of Manitowoc until retiring in 1955.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Anna Steffen of Medford, Mrs.Charles Robert of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Helen Phylip and Mrs. Elsie Johnson of Minneapolis.

His wife died Aug. 2, 1953, and a son, a daughter, three brothers and two sisters also preceded in death.
