Joseph Heinrichs, 72, lifelong Manitowoc County resident, died Monday morning at his home, 3220 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, after an illness of three years.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 am Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and at 10 am at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Heinrichs was born in Manitowoc Rapids Dec. 10, 1884, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Heinrichs.
He married Martha Kiliansky May 14, 1912 and the couple operated a farm on Rt. 4, Manitowoc, until retiring seven years ago and moving to the present address.
Mr. Heinrichs served as treasurer for the Town of Manitowoc Rapids and on the township school board for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Howard Scheuer of Appleton, Mrs. Joseph Witezak of Manitowoc and Mrs. Jule Lalko of Two Rivers; a son, Raymond of Manitowoc; two brothers, John of Manitowoc Rapids and Louis of Green Bay; nine grandchildren and a great grandson.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 8:45 pm.
