GEORGE HERMAN

George J. Herman, 75, of 1126 South 12th street, Manitowoc, died early Tuesday at Holy Family hospital following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer funeral home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic church, the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery at Manitowoc.

Mr. Herman was born in 1875 in Manitowoc and was employed at the Rahr Malting company until his retirement five years ago. He was a member of the Manitowoc brewers union. In 1902 he married the former Mary Arndt.

Survivors are the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Lakatos of Manitowoc and Mrs. J.B. Lindquist of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Reinke of Plymouth and Mrs. Ida Reinmann of Menominee, Mich., and a granddaughter. One grandson, Emil Lakatos, was killed in World War II in 1945.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
