FERDINAND HERMANN

From Der Nord Westen, 01 Sep. 1904:
As he was leaving work from the factory of the American School Furniture Co. with his fellow workmen on Thurs. evening, Ferdinand Hermann suddenly fell to the ground. His comrades sprang to his help, but there was nothing they could do because a heart attack had claimed Hermann’s life.

Ferdinand Hermann was born in Germany in 1833 and came to Manitowoc with his family about 38 yrs. ago, where he has lived ever since. He was known as an excellent cabinetmaker, was quite healthy despite his age, and his
work was always in demand. He had been employed in the above-named factory about a year. A couple of years ago he injured his heart when he fell from a scaffold while at work on some construction in Branch, and it is thought that this may have led to the recent heart attack.

He leaves a sorrowing widow and 5 children. The funeral was held Mon. morning from St. Boniface Church with interment in the local Catholic Cemetery.
