Wilhelm Hermann, one of the first contractors of Manitowoc, died yesterday of old age debility.
The deceased, who was born 31 May 1830 in Germany, came to Manitowoc in 1851 and has lived here ever since. He built a stretch of the shoreline railroad between Sheboygan and Manitowoc, several adjoining rail strips of this railroad and a large number of the streets of our city and its surroundings.
He is survived by his widow, 2 sons and 5 daughters.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning from St. Boniface Church.
