Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, 1993, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, and 11:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Prukowski, O.F.M. with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born October 10, 1905, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Luella Pellet Houghton. He attended Manitowoc public schools and married the former Leona Selch, September 21, 1929, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Houghton was employed as a photographer for the Manitowoc Herald Times, then moved to Green Bay and became the Vice President of the Valley Engraving Company. Upon his retirement the couple then moved back to Manitowoc. In 1980 the couple then moved to Kewaunee and were members of the Holy Rosary Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Houghton, Kewaunee; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Willard Kickbusch, Kewaunee; five grandchildren, Debra and Brian Duescher, Luxemburg, Michael Kickbusch, Kewaunee, Tammy and Robby Paplham, Algoma, Tom and Amy Kickbusch, Kewaunee, Patti Kickbusch, Algoma; seven great grandchildren, Jessica, Jeannie, Desiree, Bridget, Cody, Zachary and Chelsea. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends survive. He was also preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, November 5, until the time of services.
