Aurora C. Hoyer, 97, who resided with her brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Olga Hoyer of 3428 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, February 1, 1990, at Manitowoc County Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald Prusakowski OFM will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
Miss Hoyer was born September 27, 1892, at Marshfield, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John J. and Anna Steininger Hoyer. She attended St. Boniface Parochial School, Manitowoc and The St. Joseph Hospital Training School for Nurses in Milwaukee, where she graduated June 18, 1919. Miss Hoyer did Nursing in the Milwaukee area until 1940 when she joined the staff at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Olga Hoyer of Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mary Sievers of Detroit and Mrs. Irene Hoyer of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Elmer and Walter and also by a sister, Viola.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 10 a.m. Monday. There will be no Sunday visitation at the Funeral Home.
