Mr. Hoyer was born Feb. 20, 1895, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Anna Steinger Hoyer. He was educated at St. Boniface Parochial School and married Anita T. Klinkner Sept. 8, 1919 at St. Boniface. He was employed as a tool and diemaker by the Manitowoc Equipment Works for 50 years and was a member of Manitowoc Machinists Local 516.
Survivors are the wife, two sons, Paul and William, a daughter, Mrs. Robert Gilbert; two brothers, Walter and Clarence and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Specht and Miss Aurora Hoyer of Manitowoc and 11 grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm Sunday where at 8 pm the Rosary will be recited.
