William H. Durling, a resident of this town for more than half a century, passed away at his home on Washington Street, Sunday evening, at the age of 83. Mr. Durling was employed by the Standard Paint Company for many years and at the time of his death by the Ruberoid Company. Mr. Durling is survived by one son, William; a sister, Mrs. Susan Smock of Readington, and the following grandchildren: Walter, Charles, John and James Wells, Mrs. Mary Sofield, and Harry and Walter Durling. The funeral was held at the residence at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. L. L. Leaver, paster of the Reformed Church, conducting the service. Interment was in the Bound Brook Cemetery with director James S. Taggart in charge.
