Clyde J. Dassey, age 82, of 1017 20th St., Two Rivers, died early Tuesday morning, June 10 , 1997, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 1997, at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Larry Seidl with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

Clyde was born March 20, 1915, in Two Rivers, son of the late Frank A. and Mabel LaFond Dassey. He served in the United States Army in the European Theatre from 1941 until 1945. On September 13, 1947 he married the former Elizabeth A. (Betty) LeFleur at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on January 28, 1992.

Clyde was employed at Hamilton Industries for 45 years retiring in 1980. He was an avid bowler and fisherman.

Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Paul and Kay Dassey, Philip and Joy Dassey, Pete Dassey, and his fiancé, Lori Mathiesen, Patrick Dassey, all of Two Rivers nine grandchildren, Allen, Aaron, Christine, David, Brad, Bryan, Blaine, Brendan, and Bobby Dassey; one brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Eleanor Dassey, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Darwin, and three sisters, Celestine, Charlotte, and Beatrice.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. (TONIGHT) A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Ken Coenen.
