Flora D. Greetan, age 82, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, Sept. 13, 2003, at the center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Neil Piepenburg with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

Flora was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Lincoln, Neb., daughter of the late Theodore and Florence Cutbirth Osman. On Sept. 11, 1945, she married William Greetan in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1996.

Survivors include nine children: Shirley (Wallace) Fritsch, Manitowoc, Frank Goodwin, William Greetan Jr. and fiancee, Linda O’Connor, Neenah, Robert Greetan, Manitowoc, Thomas (Barb) Greetan Sr., Two Rivers, Carrie (Michael) Reif, Mishicot, Barbara (LeRoy) Mraz, Mishicot, Irene Kralovetz, Manitowoc and Patricia (Jeff) Khail, Manitowoc; 41 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; one sister: Isabelle Porter, Two Rivers; one sister-in-law: Ida Nauman and one brother-in-law: John Greetan. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one son, three brothers, three sisters, four grandchildren, two brothers -in-law and one sister-in-law.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, on Tuesday evening, Sept. 16, 2003, from 4 to 8 p.m. and at Wesley United Methodist Church on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, especially the third floor nursing staff, for their care and compassion given towards Flora. Flora was a wonderful homemaker who loved to play bingo. She was a strong woman and a loving mother and grandmother. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
