John J. Hoffman, age 80, formerly of 1241 S. 21st St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, March 2, 1995, at the Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Private Family Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 1995, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc, Wis. Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum.
John was born on December 26, 1914, in Denmark, Wis., son of the late Frank G. and Catherine Schuster Hoffman. John married the former Angeline Brotski on June 1, 1938, at St. Anne’s Catholic church, Francis Creek, Wis. He was employed as the foreman at the Invincible Company for 36 years.
Survivors include his wife, Angeline Hoffman; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Elaine and Gerald (Mike) Brefczynski, Manitowoc, Janice and Gary Brunig, Two Rivers, Sue and Don Wergin, Manitowoc; one son, Daniel Hoffman and special friend, Carol Volk, Green Bay, Wis.; six grandchildren, Keith and Kathy Brefczynski, Alameda, Calif., Lisa and Gina Brunig, Two Rivers, Stephanie and Stacey Wergin, Manitowoc, Nicole Hoffman, Green Bay; two brothers, James Hoffman, Manitowoc, Alois Hoffman, Two Rivers; one sister, Helen Fabian, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
John was a loving and kind man who provided love, support and guidance for his wife, children and grandchildren.
