Nancy and her husband settled in what was at first Harrison County and, after 1818, Floyd County, Indiana. In 1836 they sold their farm there and moved to Adams County, Illinois where they first settled at Quincy, and later at Columbus.
After her husband’s death, Jane moved in with her eldest child, daughter Dorotha, who was by then married to Rev. James R. Ross. She was enumerated on the 1860 census at their household in Hancock County’s St. Mary’s Township.
