Mrs. Mary Anderson died at her home here Oct 31, 1903, of heart disease. She was born in East Tennessee, Nov. 13, 1835, and was 67 years 11 months and 18 days old when she passed away. She was married in 1854 to Joshua A. Anderson, who died some six years ago, and was the mother of 13 children, seven of whom survive her.
At the age of 17 she joined the Baptist Church and since that time has been known as a quiet consistent member. She was appreciated as a good mother, friend and neighbor.
She was buried Sunday afternoon at Owen Cemetery beside her husband, Rev. Geo. Delamere officiating. A large attendance of the people here showed their respect for the deceased and sympathy for the surviving children.
