LUCY KARNOFSKY

Mrs. Anton Karnofsky, 80, lifelong Manitowoc County resident, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness. The home is at 1127 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald Rose will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The former Lucille O’Grady was born April 21, 1873, in the town of Meeme where she resided until 1900 when she moved to Manitowoc. She was married in 1926 to Anton Karnofsky, who died in 1944. Mrs. Karnofsky was a member of the St. Ann Society of St. Boniface parish.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert C. Aurand of Los Angeles, Calif.; a son, John of Manitowoc; a brother, Edward O’Grady of Iron Mountain, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Clark of Manitowoc.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
