ANDREW KAUFMAN

Andrew F. Kaufman, 87, 3101 Calumet Ave., Manitowoc, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Jens Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kaufman was born April 28, 1880, at Manitowoc, son of the late Peter and Mary Kazda Kaufman. He married Magdalena Fager Sept. 19, 1905, at Manitowoc. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1955.
Mr. Kaufman attended schools at Manitowoc. He was first employed by Goodrich Shipping Co., then worked for Chicago & North Western Railroad and was a machinist's helper at Invicible Metal Furniture Co. for 37 years before his retirement in 1951. Mr. Kaufman was a member of the St. Boniface Parish.
He was preceded in death by two sons, a sister and seven brothers.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, Andrew Jr., Leo and Eugene of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (Leona) H. Novy, Mrs. Jerome (Mildred) Kabal, Mrs. James (Lucille) Crabtree, of Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o'clock this Monday evening.
