Dr. Kropp Dies of Heart Attack
Dr. John M. Kropp, 56, suffered a heart attack while fishing on the southside pier early Saturday morning, and died at 8:40 a.m. at the Holy Family Hospital where he had been removed by the police ambulance.
A dentist in Manitowoc for 33 years, Dr. Kropp asked police officers who were patrolling in the vicinity to take him to the hospital, notify his wife, and call Dr. C.E. Wall. The police messaged the station to send the amublance to remove the dentist to the hospital. Funeral services were incomplete Saturday, awaiting word of a daughter residing in Florida.
Dr Krop, whose residence is at 1308 Manila St., was born April 23, 1897, at Hilbert, Wisc. He married Arlene Burkart in 1924. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, (private); a son, (private); five granchildren and a sister, Mrs. J.P. Wolf of Elkhart Lake, Wis.
The Leschke Funeral Home is completing funeral arrangements.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning for Dr. John M. Kropp, (photo) Manitowoc dentist for 33 years, who died Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack while fishing on the south side pier, at the Leschke Funeral Home at 9 a.m. and a requiem mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church with the Rev. Henry Letz as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc. The Drews-Bleser Post of the American Legion will be in charge at the cemetery.
Dr. Kropp, a native of Hilbert, Wis., is a graduate of Chilton High School and the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1919. He came directly to Manitowoc to follow his practice after his graduation. He was a member of the Wisconsin Dental and Manitowoc County Dental associations, the American Legion, Royal League, Eagles and Holy Name Society.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday by the Holy Name Society and the Rev. Henry Letz.

BURKART-KROPP
Miss Arline Burkart and Dr. J.M. Kropp were principals this morning in a pretty church wedding at St. Boniface, Rev. Father W.J. Peil officiating at the ceremony which took place at 9 o'clock. The bridal party were attended by Misses Aleta and Lillian Burkart, sisters of the bride, as maid of honor and bridesmaid and Dr. Lawrence B. Gilling of Milwaukee as best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Burkart, 1218 South Sixteenth street. Dr. Kropp and his bride departed on a two weeks honeymoon auto trip and upon their return will take up their home on South Sixteenth street.
The bride is a popular south side young lady and was a member of the office force at the Times. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Wehner of St. Cloud and recently opened dental offices in the Odd Fellows building. He has made many friends here.
Out of town guests present at the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. August Wehner of St. Cloud; Mr. and Mrs. John Wolf of Elkhart Lake; Mr. and Mrs. John Leiterman of Denmark; Miss Olive ?erman of Chicago; Mrs. Anton Svoboda and children, Kansas City; Howard Kropp of St. Cloud and Dr. Lawrence Gilling of Milwaukee.
