"Odie was born on May 9, 1929 in Cato, Wis. She was the daughter of the late Cyril and Helen Gintner Marlborough. Odie was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1947. In past years she was employed for 10 years with Valders High School in the cafeteria.
"On May 13, 1950 she married James A. Kautzer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarks Mills, Wis. He preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 1996. Odie was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She had been a volunteer at the Manitowoc Two Rivers Chamber of Commerce and the Manitowoc Tourist Center. (Survivors omitted for privacy.)
"She was preceded in death by her husband: James A. Kautzer, Aug. 21, 1996; one son-in-law: Gene Sperber; two grandchildren: Cassandra and Matthew Kautzer.
"A special thank you by the family is extended to Dr. Andrew Yetter and the staff at Aurora Medical Center and the Visiting Nurses Association for their loving care. The family would appreciate memorials for a memorial fund being established in Odie's name. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clare Streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements."
