Turin, May 29. -- Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Mary K. Angell, widow of Wenzel D. Angell, of 132 West Street, Ilion, which occurred at the Ilion hospital last week. She had been ill for two weeks preceding her death.
Mrs. Angell before her marriage was Miss Mary Susan Kilham. She was born in Turin, a daughter of the late Dotan and Susan Kentner Kilham.
She was married to Menzo D. Angell, of Ilion, twenty years ago and since that time had made her home in that village. Mr. Angell died several years ago.
Mrs. Angell was a direct descendant on the paternal side of one of the Pilgrims who came to Massachusetts on the Mayflower in 1620. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, tracing her Revolutionary ancestry on both paternal and maternal sides. Her grandfather, Amos Kentner, fought in the war of 1812 in Herkimer County. She was a communicant of the Episcopal Church in Ilion and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. James B. Whittlesey of Baltimore, Md., and two nephews (names redacted for privacy)
Funeral services were held in Ilion and burial was made there.
