DONALD EARL DEXTER, 83 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Rhode Island, he was the son of Rhoda Dexter. He was a resident of Buchanan County many years and worked as a construction worker and on strip mines. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Shirline Mullins Dexter, Grundy, VA; 2-Daughters: Donna (Dennis) Estevao, Warwick, RI, Melissa (Tyrone) Vandyke, Grundy, VA; 3-Sons: Richard Dexter, Rhode Island, Daniel (Stephanie) Dexter, Jacksonville, FL, Ronald (Sheila) Dexter, Grundy, VA; 17-Grandchildren and 16-Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for DONALD EARL DEXTER will be conducted Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shea Shrader officiating with burial to follow in Clinch Valley Cemetery, Richlands, VA.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Active Pallbearers will be Cory Vandyke, Coty Vandyke, Jonathan Helton, Joshua Mitchell, Nathan Tote and Tyrone Vandyke.
