SHARPSBURG, GA. - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Keehner at noon, Monday, at Saint Christine Church for Dolores Ann Kotheimer, 88, who passed away peacefully, Tuesday, with her family by her side.


Dolores was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Latrobe, Pa., a daughter of Lawrence E. and Margaret Anastasia Chemitsky Frichtel.


Her stepmother was Tressa Elizabeth Frichtel.

She was a 1944 graduate of South High School, she worked in secretatial capacities at Isaly Dairy Company, and several Law firms prior to starting a family.


Dolores enjoyed dance club, bridge club, golf, bocce at the Saxon club and 25 years of volunteer work at Assumption Village. She was a member of St. Christine Church, after moving to Sharpsburg, she became a member at St. Magdeline Church.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Dr. William (Nancy Robinson) Kotheimer of Cincinnati, Christine (Joseph) Tomaino of Capitola, Calif., Laura (Douglas) Warhola of Sharpsburg, Mary Charniga of Loveland, Peter (Sharlyn) Kotheimer of Templeton, Calif., and Dr. Barry (Mary Beth) Kotheimer of Chesterland.

She also leaves her sister, Tressa Best, of Salem; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


Besides her husband, Dr. William J. Kotheimer, whom she married June 14, 1947, and who passed on Nov. 27, 2009, she was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings; four brothers, Larry, James, William and Robert Frichtel; and her sisrer, Lilliam Pishioneri; and her son–in–law, Paul Charniga.
