Age 86 Beloved Husband of Geraldine Suida of 61 years they were married in 1944. President of the Ruth State Bank also loved gardening a 60 year banker and a World War II captain and veteran died from complications of colon cancer at United Hospice in Marlette. He lived in Ruth 100 miles northeast of Flint He attended high school in Canada and graduated from St. Jerome High School in 1937 after high school he attended the University Of Detroit and served in The U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II during his time in the service he served in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands after his time in the military he moved back to Ruth and worked with his father at a bank known now as Ruth State Bank he become president in 1953 and was responsible for managing business operations he was chairman of the bank's board when he died Mr. Zinger was a lifelong member of St. Peter And Paul Catholic Church in Ruth where he served on the cemetery and school boards along with gardeing he was an active golfer and was a member of Verona Hills Golf Club in Verona he is survived by his wife a son Joseph three other sons Douglas David and Paul one daughter Judy Zinger Weiss and eight Grandchildren Funeral Service is set for June 5, 2006 at St. Peter And Paul Catholic Church 7115 Atwater Road in Ruth. Mass at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will precede the mass at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements were handled by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home 2091 Main Street Ubly.
